Change to the Executive Board of Ernst Russ AG
Hamburg, 21 January 2019: Robert Gärtner (63), previously a member of the Supervisory Board of Ernst Russ AG, will move to the Executive Board of the company effective 1 March 2019. To this end, Mr Gärtner has resigned today from the Supervisory Board, effective from the end of 28 February 2019.
Mr Gärtner has many years of successful management experience with a focus on the financial sector. He is currently managing partner of a Hamburg-based consulting firm. Prior to that, he led a medium-sized company from supplying the shipbuilding industry to becoming the leading provider of software and services in the maritime industry.

In addition, the Supervisory Board resolved today, in agreement with the two acting Executive Board members, that the speaker of the Executive Board Jens Mahnke (50) will leave the company following this year’s general meeting, and that Executive Board member Ingo Kuhlmann (46) will leave the company with effect from the end of 31 March 2019. The Supervisory Board thanks both gentlemen for their successful and dedicated work. Alexander Stuhlmann: “Jens Mahnke and Ingo Kuhlmann led our company into a safe harbour in difficult times and created a stable base for the ongoing development of the company. For this, they deserve the thanks of the Supervisory Board, employees and shareholders of Ernst Russ AG.” The board members, who will be independently self-employed, will remain closely connected to the company.
